Natural Lotion
Most store-bought lotions are full of cancer causing, hormone, and endocrine-disrupting, toxic ingredients! Making your own organic and natural, luxurious moisturizing lotion is easier than you think. It only takes a few ingredients and trust me; your skin will love you for it!

I am sharing with you my favorite whipped lotion recipe! There are many butter and carrier oil choices that you can actually alternate/play with to your personal liking. Each natural butter and oil have numerous benefits for your skin and body.
Recipe:
1/3 cup organic shea butter
1/3 cup organic coconut oil
1/3 cup organic cocoa butter
Essential oils to scent (recommend 10-30 drops in each container based on preference and experience in using oils)
Directions:
1. Using the double boiler method - (I use a Pyrex in a larger pan of water)- melt butter and oil all together over low-medium heat. Make sure water never comes in contact with butter and oils.
2. Once all melted, stir and combine well.
3. Place in fridge for about 30-45min or longer.
5. Once cooled, remove from fridge and whip with an electric hand-held blender.
6. Whip until the mixture turns light in color, doubles its volume, and is smooth.
7. Place in designated containers.
8. Add essential oils to scent- choose your favorites and play with different combos.
This recipe makes approx. 3- 4oz containers, feel free to double or triple the recipe!
